Ufton Court Y4 September 2019

Year 4 visited Ufton Court to learn about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. The children were able to handle Anglo-Saxon artifacts and make guesses on their uses before playing a game of ‘Call my Bluff’ to find out what they actually were. They enjoyed playing games, some of which we still play today. In the afternoon, they became Viking warriors and learnt how to fight and protect themselves. They also set sail on a Viking longship and raided far off lands, learning about Viking trade and voyages.
“We learnt how to fight like a Viking warrior and we played Anglo-Saxon games.”
“We learnt about the Viking raids whilst rowing on a longship. It was awesome.”
