Residential Trips

Stubbington

Each autumn term the year 6 children are invited to attend a four night residential trip to Stubbington Study Centre. The children take part in a variety of outdoor educational activities where they will learn about the local environment and the animals and plants in the ground.  All of the activities are aimed at Key Stage 2 children.  There are many activities that encourage teamwork and they will also develop independence skills as they learn how to be responsible and organise themselves.

The staff at the centre along with the schools year 6 teaching and support staff lead the activities and will be around to supervise the children during meal times and showers. The staff from the school sleep in accommodation next to the children’s sleeping quarters.

The 2017 trip will take place in the Autumn Term.  Details will be sent to the current year 5’s during December.

Ski and Environmental

Every two years children and parents from years 5 and 6 are invited to attend this week long residential trip to a ski resort in France. This trip is organised by Mr Rich who has successfully ran this trip over many years. The group travel by air with other schools in the Hampshire area and the trip is backed by a leading school ski operator.

Not only do the children and parents learn to ski or improve their skills with experienced skiing instructors, they will also learn about the local environment.
