Novium Museum Y5

Sophia M writing about ‘Our Trip to Novium Museum In 5R, we entered into a writing competition against the whole of the South of England and thanks to a talented young writer in our class, all of 5R won a sleepover at the Novium Museum in Chichester. When we arrives, we started out adventure by a torch lit tour in the dark. Everyone really enjoyed it and it was a great opportunity for us to explore the artifacts and learn all about the history within the museum. Next, we were split up into two groups. One group got to build an old fashioned roundhouse with the limitation of a few pieces of cardboard, sellotape and a pair of scissors. The other group made decorations for a roundhouse using things such as card, bark, moss and much more. Then, we went to bed. Many of us struggled to sleep and complaining in the morning because we chatted more than we slept. We were happily awoken by a delicious and nutritious breakfast before returning to school. We all really enjoyed our trip to the Novium Museum and will remember it forever.
